Travolta testifies at blackmail trial

John Travolta has described the moments before his son's death at a court in the Bahamas.
The Hollywood star was testifying against two people accused of trying to blackmail him with private information about the rescue effort.
With his actress wife Kelly Preston looking on inside the Nassau courtroom, the 55-year-old actor said he had performed CPR on Jett after a nanny alerted him the 16-year-old had fallen ill.
Jett died in January this year after suffering a seizure at their holiday home on Grand Bahama.
Paramedic Tarino Lightbourne and former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater are accused of trying to extort $25 million from Travolta, who is the star witness at their trial.
Security was tighter than previous days, with police surrounding the courthouse as the actor arrived with his entourage for his first appearance at the trial.
It is a rare public appearance for Travolta, who has kept a low profile since Jett's death.
